Where does the government get the money as a fund of BOS

Funds sourced from the state budget and the BOS is a realization of the fuel subsidy reduction compensation program by the government allocated specifically for education. And distribution of the BOS funds are channeled in a way be distributed to schools through the local National Education Service.
Furthermore the schools that receive funds BOS is divided into two:
a) The school is included in public school funding comes for the processing of all schools from APBDN
b) private schools with funds not from APBDN

The using of BOS::

The BOS that provided by the government to disadvantaged schools do not use offhand. But there is some accountability regarding the use of funds for purchase / copies of textbooks prescribed in the Act. Here are some things that are funded by using funds provided by the government, example:

• Funding all activities aimed at new students,such as registration fees,copying forms,administrative re-registration and registration.
• Purchase a book of reference / text books for the library collection.
• Funding the remedial learning, enrichment, sports, scientific work, scouts,etcetera.
• Funding the daily tests, school exams and report student learning outcomes.
• Buying disposable materials to support teaching and learning process, such as markers, lab materials, inventory books and so forth.
• Paying the cost of school maintenance.

If the school needs such as those described above have been fulfilled and there is still residual from this fund will be used to purchase teaching aids or instructional media.

Who supossed to be the recipient of BOS?

BOS (School Oprational Assitance) is addressed to the poor students who attended in public school or private school. Include helping students who drop out of school, because they can't afford school fees or dues. With the government expected the BOS,hope that there will be no elementary graduates who don't continue to junior high school because of the high cost attending school.

Education is the one key to reducing poverty in the long term. But until now , there are still many poor people who can’t get a good quality education. This was due because the high cost of education. As we know that millions children of school age in our country, still do not get the chance to attend school. However, formal education as we can get from the school is very useful for our future. Moreover,the future of our nation depends on the children who will be the successor of this nation. So,the kids should get a good quality of education as a provision to their future. Approximately 1.5 million children aged between 7-15 years old, was forced to drop out of school. One solution is done by the government through the Ministry of Education, to overcome that by the program name BOS(Bantuan Operasional Sekolah).
